Cedar Lane Policies During COVID-19 Health Emergency

Updated January 4, 2021

How we’re keeping our residents and team members safe.

At Cedar Lane Senior Living Community, the wellbeing of our residents and employees is our highest priority, and continues to guide our actions as we navigate the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

We are closely monitoring policy and guidance from Federal and State leaders, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the St. Mary’s County Health Department to inform real-time operational decisions.

At this time, the following protocol is being implemented in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. It includes, but is not limited to:

  • Beginning Thursday, November 19, 2020, visitation will be limited to essential support personnel only

  • Requiring face coverings for all residents, staff members and support personnel

  • Temporarily closing amenities such as the dining room and other common areas to reduce the risk of exposure and promote social distancing

  • Enhancing our already rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols in all common areas

  • Closure of Cedar Lane offices to residents and communicating by phone and email

  • Suspension of all specialist visits

  • Suspension of all general property tours

  • Promoting responsible personal hygiene practices while on property, including proper and frequent handwashing and the wearing of face masks

  • Suspension of group activities

  • New residents must self-quarantine for 10 days. New residents may not have visitors during their quarantine period.

We recognize that this is a time of uncertainty and, now more than ever, it is important to have clear communications in place to ensure that information is shared in an effective and timely manner. To this end, we are committed to providing additional updates as further information is made available.

In the meantime, we will continue to do all that we can to support our residents, fellow team members, and the  community.
