Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist (Full Time)

Cedar Lane Senior Living Community, an affordable housing community for the elderly and disabled located in Leonardtown, MD, has an opening for a full-time Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist.  This role will support our Certified Occupancy Specialist with the input and maintenance of resident Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidies, lease renewals and resident files in accordance with HUD regulations.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.  Strong computer skills are required – specifically in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.  Maintaining confidentiality of resident information is paramount.  Selected candidate must be willing to attend applicable HUD training and obtain appropriate certifications, as determined by Cedar Lane Administration.  Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and follow federal regulations are necessary, as you will be expected to maintain resident files in accordance with HUD regulations. 

Formal training or experience with HUD assisted housing and experience working with seniors and/or disabled is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required, with some college preferred.  We are a customer service-oriented nonprofit and expect our staff to show a high level of care and compassion towards our residents.

Maintenance Technician (Full Time)

At Cedar Lane Senior Living Community, our goal is simple: to offer seniors housing they can afford in a community they will love. As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll join a superhero team that keeps our community running smoothly.

At Cedar Lane, no two days the same. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Perform mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and sheet rock repairs
  • Paint interiors and exteriors
  • Respond to service requests
  • Maintain the campus grounds
  • Provide snow and trash removal
  • Troubleshoot equipment
  • Assist with preparations for mandatory inspections and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Share your thoughts and recommendations for repairs and improvements

What you’ll bring:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in facilities repair and maintenance
  • Valid Maryland driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, infrequently
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, in awkward positions, at varying heights and extreme temperatures
