Accounts Receivable Specialist

Cedar Lane Senior Living Community has an immediate opening for full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Finance Department.  An integral part of our accounting team, this position is responsible for a variety of duties including invoicing and processing payments for our rental, resident services and commercial leasing operations, administering grants and contracts, and maintaining subsidiary accounting ledgers.

High School diploma required, with an Associate’s Degree in accounting or other formal bookkeeping/accounting coursework preferred.  Successful candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounting or rental office, possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, as well as knowledge of general office equipment and procedures.  Good writing and math skills required.  Applicant must be highly organized, demonstrate attention to detail, have the ability to work independently, and manage multiple assignments.  Experience with accounts receivable/general ledger software required.  HUD or other rental project experience and Yardi Classic and Genesis software experience desirable.

Applicant must have excellent customer service skills, be honest, reliable, willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned, and possess a positive, friendly, caring and cooperative attitude towards residents, coworkers, and visitors to the facility.  Must enjoy working with people, especially the elderly and disabled.  Please submit cover letter and resume along with your application.

Service Coordinator

Cedar Lane Senior Living Community has an immediate opening for a full-time Service Coordinator. Cedar Lane’s Service Coordinators are specialized social work professionals who collaborate with providers, agencies and families to help our residents maintain independent and self-reliant lifestyles. 

Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and computer skills.  Knowledge of local human service resources and experience working with seniors is preferred.  Education should include a Bachelors in Social Work or a related human service field or three (3) years of comparable work experience.  Certification as a Professional Service Coordinator through the American Association of Service Coordinators is a plus.
